The only thing worse then moving 1,200 to 1,500 books is organizing 1,200 to 1,500.
All but about fifty are moved, and in my new bedroom which is the permanent resting spot for about 300. The rest will go in the library, as soon and my sister and I can commandeer a room to turn into a library.
So I'm organizing them alphabetically by author's name (have about 400 done, maybe less), then by author, then by series.
I am taking inventory, comparing my actual books against my list. According to my list I have 1,211 books; 152Hardcover, 947 Paperback. As you can see, the numbers don't add up.

A word to book collectors

If you own books I have two words of advice; either stop or never move again.
If you must move, never, ever let friends and family know how many books you have. If they do know how many books you own cajole, bribe and threaten them into helping you. But if you do this, only make them move a few books at a time, and use a wide range of friends/family.
Also, remember to leave some books out so as not to go into book withdrawal.
If you haven’t guessed by now I am a book collector and I am moving.
I only buy books I love (or if they’re a really good deal, but that’s not often) so I only own between 1,200 and 1,500. Not very man
